With the goal of strengthening the technical skills of El Salvador's port sector, the Comprehensive Technical Training Program for Salvadoran Port Equipment Operators – Terminal Trucks Network was launched. This initiative is a joint effort of COEXPORT and the National Institute for Training and Development (INCAF), with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Transitex, and the Municipality of Acajutla Oeste.

Edwin Ernesto Ramírez, Head of Social Welfare for the Municipality of Acajutla Oeste, welcomed the 300 attendees, marking the start of the program.

Silvia Cuéllar, President of COEXPORT and Director of the Terminal Trucks Project, presented the details of the program to the participants, emphasizing that initiatives like this strengthen the country's logistical capabilities and facilitate Salvadoran foreign trade.

Ximena Valle, National Coordinator of the IOM's Empowering Women and Girls Project, highlighted that creating opportunities for decent, quality employment contributes to the development of municipalities and prevents irregular migration.

For her part, Jacqueline Araniva, Project and Labor Market Connection Manager at INCAF, emphasized her institution's commitment to generating training and employment opportunities that specifically support and empower women.

The program aims to professionalize and strengthen the technical capacities of the port sector, promoting decent, safe, and quality work, with a special emphasis on women's participation. It represents a joint effort to strengthen national logistics and facilitate El Salvador's foreign trade.
